Our Hanoi City Tour 1 Day gives you great chance to discover all the must-see sights as well as witnessing the daily local lives and historical cultures of this 1000-year city.
After pick up at 8 AM, begin your 1 Day Hanoi City Tour with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and hear about the man who led the Vietnamese campaign for independence from French colonial rule. Then wander the grounds to see the One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. This area is also a government center where you can see a lot of national buildings like Congress House, Ministry of Diploma…etc. Most of the buildings used to be French administrative centers and were taken over by the Vietnamese Government after 1954.
Next, visit the so-called first university of Vietnam, the Temple of Literature, which was built in homage to the Chinese scholar Confucius during the early 11th century. Here you can learn about Confucious and his 4 most outstanding students. You will have a chance to learn about Chu Van An – the greatest teacher in the 13th century. He is known as the symbol and mirror of Vietnam education and training.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Museum of Ethnology to understand about 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam and their culture. After 1.5 hours there, return to Ngoc Son Temple set on a tiny island in the middle of picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. You will have a chance to hear how it got its name from a legend of an emperor, a magic sword, and a giant turtle!
Spend the last 1 hour on a funny traditional cyclo ride through the Old Quarter’s 36 streets named after the products that were sold from their shops.

Nice day around Hanoi and explored all the best sites of the capital. Guide jack was very knowledgeable and helpful in revealing us all the features of this ancient city. Lunch was served at a good local restaurant and the food was amazing. We really loved the trip!

Great day tour in Hanoi with Ngoc!!!
I would say it is the best way to explore Hanoi, especially with our female guide Ngoc. She was very caring, punctual and patient. She went along with us all the day with a lovely smile always. We had our mind broaden with her stories and sometimes she told interesting jokes, which made the sunny hot weather easier.
